We’re loving how this city is getting into getting outside – in the coldest of temps! The Toronto Light Fest is the latest event to lure us Torontonians outdoors. Until March 3, 2019, more than 25 art installations by local and international artists are on display along the laneways and public spaces in the Distillery District. There are disco balls, polar bears and lots of moving lights. Some are interactive and all are Instagrammable.
We went on a weeknight after a bite at The Beer Hall (Trip Tip: kids menu + shuffle board!), we spent almost an hour wandering around checking out the art without any crowds in sight. Here are some more views:
Low-down: It’s free! On display daily – Sunday to Wednesday sundown to 10 p.m.; Thursday to Saturday sundown to 11 p.m.
Weekends: On weekends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., there’s a heated forest with mulled wine and hot toddies for the adults in TOw, jazz and classical music performances, complimentary ice wine samplings on Saturdays; complimentary champagne tastings on Sundays; outdoor weekend brunch on the El Catrin Patio.
